A Roly Christmas :)

I was lucky enough to work in the same building as Roly the Jack Russell for about a year. That's right, i said work in the same office as Roly . . . The Jack Russell! Roly would be at the office almost every day of the week helping out where he could and generally doing all the doggy things around the place; sniffing out any bad smells, ensuring we didn't waste any food, playing with his toys (he even has an automatic ball thrower for when he needs a break from the office work) & of course keeping guard!! Roly's mum, Amanda is unbelievably fabulous - i LOVE her! She's a Settlement Agent and is one of the most contagiously happy people i've ever had the pleasure of meeting. This of course meant i was super excited when she asked me if we could organise some christmas cards with Roly's handsome face on the front for her clients. Roly was a star. . he quite literally looked into my lens as a clicked away in his little face!! And his mum thought he wasn't the modelling kind!!! . . ..

This is Roly's secret weapon - if you're ignoring him whilst there's food around he brings out this move: NOBODY can resist!

I sent a few Chrissie card options & due to Roly being too irresistable in each, we're getting both printed for the lucky clients!

You have to say it out loud to appreciate it . . . "We wish you a ROLY (aka: really) Happy Christmas!!"

Roly is looking forward to a location shoot early in the new year :)

Jack's Mission

Kylie is my girl. She's hands down, the loveliest person anyone could ever meet. She's blonde and has on occassion, done her bit to enhance the blonde stereotype - the best one being when she let slip that she genuinely thought that Unicorns existed (she was 22 years old when this hapenned) - but was quick to add "i know they don't have wings and fly though!" Phew - good save Kins, for a second there we thought we were going to have to disown you :p
Kylie and I get along better than anyone i know - though there has always been one tiny flaw in Kylie's perfect existence . . i'm just gonna say it . . .(deep breath) . . she . . . doesn't . . . like . . . DOGS!!!!!! It's not her fault, she never had dogs growing up & has just managed to avoid them.
I'll admit, my two k9 children do get VERY excited when visitors come over, they jump up & lick your face and take a good few minutes to calm down once you've come in and sat down. When Kylie came over to visit my new puppy (11 months after we got her) she wasn't quite prepared for the greeting she received. Alfie & Jersey gave her the same greeting they give everyone only they just LOVED it when Kylie started screaming and running around our island bench which they of course assumed meant she was playing a very competitive game of chasey and had to catch her! As Aidan & I laughed all the breath out of our bodies Kylie eventually stopped running, stood still and yelled "I can't believe you didn't help me!".
A few short weeks after this life threatening experience, would you believe it - I got a text message from the Kins, and it said "you won't in a million years guess what we just bought. A dog!! haha" I have NEVER been so shocked in my life!! This was it - i've always told kylie that it would only take one dog of her own to become a changed person and now we will see the transformation as Jack goes from being an outside dog, to a cuddle buddy when the boyfriend's away :)
Just look at those eyes!!!

Jack's not quite 3 months yet so we had his firt little photoshoot in his backyard.

It was just a tad sweltering this afternoon so Jack cooled himself off in his water bucket :)

I cannot wait for Kylie to start talking about him in such a way that people will assume Jack is her human child :)

Congratulations on your first fluffy born xxx

Dexter the Great Dane :)

After Dexter's first photoshoot was cancelled due to some very inconvenient rain, we re-scheduled for a Sunday morning shoot. It was perfect weather for us this morning at 7.30 and Dexter was looking handsome as ever for his very first job as a model :) Dexter is the first (of hopefully many) Great Danes i've had the honour of shooting and i can see completely why people fall so head over heels in love with these dogs. Dexter's only 4 months old and already towers over every other dog at the beach! He's a gentle giant & absolutely too cute for his own good! He already has his dad wrapped around his giant paw :)

Dexter wasn't too keen on the water . . he much preferred digging (and eating) the sand!

I love love LOVED meeting him & hope his mum & dad will bring him back for a shoot once he's fully grown :) x

Denzel & Febe

Fe is one of my oldest friends. We met in 1995 & have been through a whole lot of 'life' together! She is the polar opposite to me - she can hold a note, she never loses her cool in mixed netball (except that one time she punched a guy 3 times her size - but he deserved it!), has always been tidy (and tidied my room while i nursed a hangover on more than one occassion), says exactly what she thinks - always, has fabulous hair like EVERY day, is extremely organised, can find decorations no matter what the occassion, manages to stay her amazing bubbly self no matter what may be hapenning around her & is the single most real person i know. She's as close to a sister as i'll ever have & am so thankful she's still in my life. Fe and her baby paid me a visit & we took the opportunity to get some snaps for the chrissie card this year :) Denzel is sweeter than you can imagine!

I often ask clients to do kissy noises to get a big sloppy kiss . . . . . . .
And sometimes it goes a little too far :p

too too too cuteeee

My favouriteeee :)

Thanks my Pebe & Denzel - you are lovely xxx

What a month!

October has been a teeny bit crazy to say the least! I finally got my studio equipment and have been torturing Alfie & Jersey for hours on end trying to get my lighting perfect!!

We had the Dog's Breakfast finally arrive and it was a huge success - had such a good day meeting new puppy dogs that i hope will one day be making their debut on here! Unfortunately it was a little too hectic to have my camera in my hand as much as i planned too but i did get some shots of the most well mannered dog i ever did meet - Denzel was dressed for the occassion :)

Don't want to scare anyone but Christmas is now just a little over 7 weeks away - remember gift certificates are always available :)
