6 More Burly Aussie Bulldogs!

As promised - here are the remaining 6 Burly Aussie Bulldogs I got to play with earlier in the week.  Here's the first instalment in case you missed it!

First up is the beautiful Milo - she really knows how to work the camera!  She did also fall asleep during our shoot . .

Mojo doesn't have the same look as the other Bulldogs but he's mighty handsome and he's got some charisma!!

The next lil lady turned 3 today!!  Happy Birthday Skyla x

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this last one . . .

This next boy was hilarious!!  Sub Zero was definitely the most excited out of all the dogs to be having his picture taken!  If you've had a shoot with me you'll know i spend 90% of the shoot lying on the floor, rolling around in the grass & bending myself into some ridiculously uncoordinated positions!  Most dogs are rather intrigued to have someone on the ground with them & it normally takes a good 20 minutes for them to start ignoring me.  In this case, 12 bulldogs, 4 hours of shooting - each dog only came out into the paddock for around 20 minutes or so  . . Sub Zero didn't get time to calm down & i was ambushed as soon as Kate left the paddock to fetch the next dog!!  He's a rather large boy & i'm going to throw it out there that he probably weighs around the same as me - so as i get a paw to the head & a very excited Subby trying to get me to play fight with him all i could do was hold my camera as high as i could in the air and hope it survived ;)  hahaha he's brilliant.  I managed to get up eventually :p

Toffee is a very sweet girl, in her looks & her nature, i think her colouring is amazing.

Last, but certainly not least is the OTHER Birthday Girl!  3 year old Uma x

I would like to say a HUGEEEE Thank You to both Kate from Burly Aussie Bulldogs and to Vanessa from the Canine Country Club for trusting me with your babies & letting me display my work on your fabulous Premises :)  Cannot wait to meet the pups!!! x

6 of 12 Burly Aussie Bulldogs!

When Petography went from being an idea in my head to a real live business I had a very particular idea of how I wanted to get business through the doors (or more specifically find people who would let me walk through their doors!).  I'm not a salesman - i can't talk people into buying things they don't want & would never want to either.

I want to evoke emotion in the photos i take.  I want people to walk past & HAVE to turn back to stare for a minute for how much joy is present in that photo hanging on the wall.  I'm so very honoured & excited to announce that Petography's very first Wall Art Display will soon be going up at the K9 Country Club - a wonderful Boarding Kennel in Wannero for Cats & Dogs.  As if that's not cool enough, the owners daughter, Kate is a Bulldog Breeder!!  You can keep up to date with all her latest news (including when gorgeous new puppies are due) on her Burly Aussie Bulldogs Facebook page  I got to spend 4 hours with her 12 Bulldogs & I don't think i've ever been dirtier in my entire life!  It was hillarious - each one was soooo different to the other but they were all equally as gorgeous.

There really are too many awesome pictures to put up here in one post so i'll do another one tomorrow - today in alphabetical order, we have the first 6 :)

Amelia has the sweetest smiley face . .

My personal favourite of you Melia x

Next up, we have (secretly a little bit of a favourite for me) Bull Dozer - he made me laugh - a LOT & I don't think i've ever knwon a dog who suits his name more!

Crunchie, Crunchie, Crunchie you amazing girl - who looks this good less than a week before they're due to give birth??!

Sorry folks, Kate tells me Crunchie's litter is already sold!

Jada, you have some fierce eyes girl!

LOVE this last one

The last two little girls are Laguna & Mink - at just 7 months old they all kinds of puppy faces left in them :)

I'm not sure what it is about this next one, but i'm completely and utterley in love with it!!

If you follow Petography's Facebook Page you will have seen this next one - but i don't think it's ever going to get old!!

That must be one gooooood stick!

The remaining 6 Burly Aussie Bulldogs will be making their debut tomorrow!!

52 Project - Ears

This week kinda got away from me! I got behind with my editing and i can hardly belive it's Friday already!!

This weeks 52 Project was ears .. i realised this could very easilly become 52 weeks of my Alfie & Jersey! So instead of torturing my own pups to face the wall while i make funny noises to get their ears to do the cute things they do i decided i would feature a shot from a shoot i did just this week . . she has the best ears i've evr seen!! You can see more of Cody on the post just below this one!

So, just like last week now head on over to the brains behind our lil project - Dana Cubbage Photography to see what ears she has to show you :) Keep clicking on each blog's link and you'll end up back here :D

Lucky Cody

I love a good rescue story. When a fellow member at the fabulous Colloseum Gym FINALLY got on facebook (just a few years late :p) one of the first pictures he added to his profile was of his dog. Kim had never mentioned his dog to me before and when i saw the description he'd written under the picture i demanded he let me do a photoshoot of her. Underneath the photo it read:

my dog from s.a.f.e. had flee infection half bald fungle ear infection & lymphnode infection when we got her , 6 weeks later she is all healthy such a loving & obedent litlte thing . such joy

Cody came to be at SAFE when her owners told the Vet to just put her down as they couldn't afford to pay the Vet bill required to help Cody get better - luckilly the wonderful Vet knew Cody was worth saving. Kim & his lovely wife Trisha rescued Cody knowing full well it would cost them a few thousand dollars in Vet bills just to get her healthy again. Trish told me when they went to meet her at her foster home Cody walked up to her and just nuzzled herself under her arm, she knew instantly that Cody was their dog. Two months on & the bond that has formed between these three is just beautiful. Cody adores her new mum & dad & they manage to fit all 3 of them into a double size bed each night :) Cody is incredibly obedient & I think it shows just how far feeling loved & having a place of her own (yes, the house is now Cody's) can make a difference to every inch of a dogs being.

Kim & Trisha you're amazing & the world is a better place because of people like you xxx and Cody - i LURVE you x

Skye's Beach Shoot

Skye's Mum received a Gift Certificate for her birthday and she impressed me with how quickly she contacted me to book her Session :) We met at the Puppy Beach & let the gorgeous Skye (German Shepard x Boxer!) do her thing. I can honestly say i've never seen such devotion & love in a dogs eyes.

Skye LOVESSSSS her mum & dad - i'm talking she does not take her eyes off them. She's the sweetest little girl & it was beautiful to watch her gallop around the beach.

Here's just a few of my favourites :)
